| Pacific youth are at the forefront of movements for climate action, gender equality and social justice. They are innovators, entrepreneurs and change-makers. But for them to fully realise their potential, they need access to quality education, meaningful employment, and spaces where their voices are heard, respected and hold influence.
These will be some of the discussions and deliberations taking place at the upcoming Pacific Ministers for Youth Meeting (PMYM) in Nadi from 4 to 5 September. The PMYM is hosted by the Ministry of Youth and Sports FIJI as Chair and co-chaired by the Pacific Youth Council with SPC as Secretariat.
The following video highlights the voices of youth captured during the recent Senior Youth Officials Meeting held in Nadi from 13th-15th August 2024. The outcomes from this meeting will be put forward for discussions at PMYM. The youth ministerial meeting is being held after a pause of 11 years, so stay tuned for more updates on Pacific Youth development in the region!!
