Hi everyone! Just a quick clarification — there are no changes to the current MM2H visa policy requirements You can always refer to the official MOTAC website (available in English & Malay) for the latest info.
Both Silver and Gold Tiers operate under the same renewal terms — the pass is renewable every 5 years, as MM2H is a long-term temporary visa (not a permanent one). In the conditional approval letter for the Gold tier, it would state that the visa approval is for 15 years but you would still need to renew it every 5 years. Renewal is not automatic and is subject to standard checks like criminal check.
If you’re planning for long-term residency (15–20 years), the Gold Tier may offer better stability. For shorter stays, the Silver Tier works perfectly fine for 5 + 5 years.
