💥 2 Fail - Proof Strategies to Get Your ADHD Kid to Do the...

We take a closer look at 💥 2 Fail - Proof Strategies to Get Your ADHD Kid to Do the... and its implications for both beginners and experts in facebook video mp4.

2 Fail-Proof Strategies to Get Your ADHD Kid to Do the Things They Don’t Want to Do
Let’s be honest — getting an ADHD teen or tween to do something they don’t want to do can feel like wrestling an octopus covered in slime. You’ve tried rewards, threats, reminders, timers — and nothing sticks.
But here’s the thing:
It’s not that your child doesn’t want to do it.
It’s that no one ever explained their brain — to them or to you.
And that’s not your fault. Parents were set up to fail because no one handed you the ADHD instruction manual.
That’s exactly why I created Bootcamp, my 5-week ADHD group coaching program — to give parents the science and the scripts that actually work.
Here are two of my favorite Bootcamp strategies — science-based, simple, and shockingly effective
1 False Choices
The ADHD brain craves control.
So instead of “Go do your homework now,” try:
“Do you want to start at the table or the couch?”
“Do you want to shower before or after dinner?”
When you hand them agency within structure, their nervous system calms down.
They stop resisting — because they feel seen, not controlled.
2 The 5-Minute Rule
ADHD brains struggle to start, not to do.
So we lower the wall of overwhelm:
“Just do it for 5 minutes — then you can stop.”
Here’s the magic: once they start, dopamine kicks in, and 5 minutes turns into 20.
And if it doesn’t? That’s okay — they started. We’re building the starting muscle, not chasing perfection.
Before you say, “He’ll just stop after 5 minutes,” — give your child more credit.
No kid wants to fail or piss off their parents.
If that’s happening, it’s not defiance — it’s shutdown. They’ve stopped trying because they feel misunderstood.
And they’re right.
No one ever explained their ADHD brain to you.
Until now.
Try these strategies this week and watch the shift.
When they work (and they will), come join me in Bootcamp — because this is just the beginning.
