My 101 Drum Circle Rhythms DVD is 2 hours of great ethnic drumming beats for musicians, dancers, hoopers, fire spinners, and drum circle facilitators.
It's not really intended as an instructional DVD, but more as a collection of 120 different rhythms to play and improvise from. It's an easy to follow numbered set to have fun with. It is ideal for visual learners, you just watch and jam along.
The entire DVD is a close up shot of a djembe drum with two hands playing it, rhythm after rhythm. Each one is about a minute long, (unlike the 15 seconds each on the above sample). So you can easily see all the rhythms being played up close. It gives you an idea of how the various notes and sounds can be made. It is not necessarily the only way to play them, but more as a starting point for you to expand your repertoire. You can pick them up quickly and easily. Thanks for helping to support independent artists.
