This is an excellent drill to use to either learn to deadlift or practice optimal form in the hip-hinge. All you need is a broom stick and a working body.

Simply hold the broomstick against your back. Ensure that the back of your head, between your shoulder blades and your butt/tailbone are in contact to promote a neutral spine.
From there, have a slight bend in the knees and begin to drive your butt backwards whilst letting your chest fall forwards towards the floor. Once you’re parallel with the floor, stand back up. Be sure to keep all 3 points of contact the whole to time ensure proper form is utilized.
