After 14+ years in the property management industry—navigating occupancy goals, reducing delinquency, maintaining resident satisfaction, and leading teams—I decided to take the leap into something entirely different:
Working for myself.
It wasn’t just about leaving a job. It was about stepping into ownership of my time, my talents, and my why. The transition hasn’t been easy. Entrepreneurship is full of early mornings, late nights, uncertainty, and a LOT of self-motivation. But it’s also full of possibility, freedom, and growth.
In property management, I learned to problem-solve, multitask, lead with empathy, and adapt on the fly. Those same skills now serve me daily as I build something of my own—brick by brick, contract by contract, client by client.
From managing multi-family communities to managing my own business…
From meeting budget goals to creating them from scratch…
From relying on a company’s structure to building my own systems and processes…
It’s a learning curve, but it’s also the most rewarding risk I’ve ever taken.
