So many ideas, so little time...
The sign on the door of the mini-studio at the Imaginarium, is how I sign my art. It signifies the first letter of the Sinhala alphabet and the first letter of my name. It's drawn using the Chinese brush painting / Japanese sumi-e technique which stems from ancient eastern aesthetic and philosophical concepts. I drew this years ago for the first time using Chinese calligraphy ink on hand-made paper I myself made by recycling used paper.
I feel the painting 'Ambapali' done over a decade ago needs to be re-done. I have changed as an artist and the painting fails to 'speak' to me anymore. So here it is, waiting.
