Step into the world of going with this insightful look at Explained here 👇🏻 I know some people are not going to like me... and its recent developments.
I know some people are not going to like me for this, but my mission is to help you live more confidently with Celiac Disease, and that includes understanding what the research says and where the risks are.
(because Facebook groups and Google can make everything sound terrifying)
Let’s talk about some of these…
You need to replace all your wooden utensils or chopping boards
Just wash them with soap and water. Gluten comes off.
You need a separate gluten free sponge
You need to remove visible gluten from dirty plates. Soap and water will do this. Use whatever sponge you want & rinse after each use.
You can’t use the convection setting on your oven
There is no research to suggest convection ovens are unsafe. You can safely share them. If gluten and GF foods are in together, place the gluten free one on the top rack to avoid crumbs dropping.
You need gluten free lipstick or chapstick
Makeup does not need to be gluten free. Gluten can’t be absorbed through your skin. And, even if gluten was in lipstick or chapstick, it wouldn’t come anywhere close to harmful amounts of gluten.
Celiac safety matters, but you don’t have to live in constant fear or feel like you need to replace everything you own.
Inside The Confident Celiac, my clients learn this too, not by avoiding life, but by understanding what actually matters.
I teach them how to confidently assess risk and let go of unnecessary fear through a simple process:
Step 1: Learn the gluten thresholds in celiac disease
Step 2: Know the real risks in everyday situations
Step 3: Build confidence through practice
Scripts, real restaurant menus, recipes all make this so much easier.
When you understand the difference between risk and fear, everything changes.
That’s why my clients can walk into a coffee shop, order a latte, and enjoy it without spiraling about cross-contact.
If you are starting to feel stressed about the upcoming holiday season and the ‘mental toll’ is feeling heavy, I have something coming just for you for Black Friday.
This is going to help you feel more included, travel with less stress & find joy in eating again
