Today, we present you with David Hearst , editor - in - chief of Middle East Eye , says that..., a comprehensive guide towards understanding eye.

David Hearst, editor-in-chief of Middle East Eye, says that Donald Trump is pushing the United States closer to war with Iran.
Hearst warns that this conflict follows the same pattern as Israel’s war on Gaza. The more Iran resists, the more violence it faces. But attacking Iran, he argues, would be the most disastrous US decision since the invasion of Iraq, with potentially greater and longer-lasting consequences.
Unlike previous wars, this time Israel is facing a real state with strategic depth. Iran could retaliate across the region, close the Strait of Hormuz, or shift public and political momentum towards building a nuclear bomb.
He warns that Trump’s short-term thinking and Netanyahu’s miscalculations risk creating a nuclear crisis in the Gulf. Iran’s public is increasingly in favour of nuclear weapons, and if pushed further, the country may seek a deterrent.
Hearst concludes that Iran is prepared for a long war. Israel is not. And Trump, in his second term, may have launched a conflict with no exit strategy and no understanding of how to end it.
