After Creative Visions I spoke at the Unity Church in Des Moines...

We take a closer look at After Creative Visions I spoke at the Unity Church in Des Moines... and its implications for both beginners and experts in church.

After Creative Visions I spoke at the Unity Church in Des Moines today. I felt so at home there, talking about how all the great social justice movements in America’s history have been born out of the religious and spiritual communities in our country. Abolition arose from the Quakers; the Civil Rights movement was founded by Dr. King, a Baptist preacher, and the Southern Christian Leadership Conference. I spoke of how the higher consciousness community should not be standing on the periphery but rather should be right in there, the biggest grownups in the room, addressing social, political, and economic issues from the higher perspective that is needed now. If you know how to heal one heart than you’re the one who knows how to heal the world. All a nation is is a collection of individuals, and the nation is hurting because people are hurting. After I left, some of the adorable people at the church made this video. One talked Friday night, we talked Saturday and three talks Sunday. I am exhausted but I feel so blessed. Thank you, Iowa...!
