The Grand Finale of Sikkim's Top Model presents Teen, Miss & Mrs Sikkim Top Model Season-3 and Mini Model Sikkim Season-2 was jointly held at Mana Kendra here on Sunday evening.
This year, the beauty pageant had around 50 finalists (including all four categories) from Sikkim and the Neighboring areas of Darjeeling & Kalimpong.
In the Mini Model Sikkim (4-6 years category) Redhima Rai from Mamring was declared as the winner Abhijyoti Gurung & Samarpan Subba from Rangpo were adjudged as first and second runner-up. In the (7-9 years category) Dritika Pradhan from Sombaria was declared as the winner Jennyla Bhutia from Ravangla, Anishka Sharma from Rhenock were adjudged as first and second runner-up. Likewise in the (10-12 years category) Neyve Lama from Melli was declared as the winner Aashiska Gurung from Bariakhop, Phurba Chunnu Sherpa from Perbing were adjudged as first and second runner-up respectively.
In the Sikkim’s Top Model Season-3 (Teen category) 2023 Trisha Chettri, Jorethang was crowned winner, Shristy Karkidoly and Pragya Biswakarma from Jorethang came first and second runner-up respectively.
Ariti Thami from Mangan was adjudged as the winner of Sikkim’s Top Model Season-3 (Miss Category) 2023. The 1st runner up was Karina Gurung from Bariakhop and the 2nd runner up was Anjali Pushpak, from Namchi respectively.
In the Sikkim’s Top Model Season-3 (Mrs Category) 2023, the Winner was Peemu Gurung from Darjeeling followed by Alkana Lepcha from Yungsum and Laxmi Prasad from Namchi was 1st and 2nd Runner-up.
The Chief Guest for the event was Tulshi Ghimire (a renowned Film Director) one of the greatest filmmakers of Nepali cinema and the guest of honour was owner of Sundar Hotel & Resort, Majhitar Kishor Dungmali and owner of Hotel Tara Palace, Gangtok Sharolyn Zuma.
The Judges for the finale were Miss Sikkim 1999 Anu Pradhan, Sikkim Express staff reporter Ishabell Gurung, Mrs. Sikkim’s Top Model 2022 Sherila Tamang and Miss Sikkim’s Top Model 2022 Sudeshna Rai.
The event had traditional, western and gown rounds from which the top 41 were shortlisted for the question and answer rounds.
With the theme “Know your Values” the pageant is founded by Manjita Mazi (Founder/ CEO), Bikash Kr. Mazi is the CO-Founder, Bijoy Rasaily is the Event Head and Chunki Lepcha, Phurmit Lepcha, Sudeshna Rai, Avril Tamang are the members.
