Do you know about the European Union Mobility Programme for Myanmar? Through its artistic residency programmes, the European Union aims to support Myanmar artists in their cultural development, opening new horizons by creating new links with European artists, techniques, and ways of life.
The EMPM artist recalled their experimentation in black and white photography, shooting a Super 8 film in the snow in Paris, and learning new skills in the lab during the program as a rewarding, tangible experience. In the six months that they had spent in France, they were able to look inward for the first time in a while, and found inspiration to create artwork about themselves, in an abstract form.
The EU is proud to have supported and been a part of the artists’ journey to finding new muses and inspirations as well as developing new skills and connections in the EU.
